Cycle Canada has just informed me that they have just received news from Celia Hope in New Zealand that Tim Hope CKAP No. 1401 was involved in a crash and has succumbed to his injuries.
Celia has let us know theses details: “tim was hit by a small truck when we were cycling last Sunday and had a major head injury. He was unconscious immediately and taken to hospital. In ICU , on breathing support until Wednesday afternoon. He continued to breathe on his own until Friday morning just before 4 AM when he past away – now in “bicycle heaven’ as he would say”
