Celia McInnis
Member Pictures

I just wanted to let you know that I now am allowing you to “cycle” through all of the currently databased members pictures from the
MEMBERS page. If you click on any member picture shown on that page, you will get further detail on that first picture, and continuing to click on the next picture shown will cycle you through all pictures stored for that person. There is a link under the picture to allow you to send me any details you’d like added to a particular picture. There is some cosmetic work for me to do on this page, and, as I mentioned, I still have 2000+ pictures to database, but I hope that there’s plenty enough for you to enjoy right now!

Please let me ( celia@drmath.ca ) know if you notice any errors in the details shown for the member pictures.

New Website

After much work (which even had Sir James analyzing old handwritten logs from Tom Parry’s days in the 1970’s!), we have databased the yearly kilometers ridden by all CKAP members.

  • You may see the member totals by clicking on the TOTALS link in the left margin.
  • You may search for particular entries by typing things into the text boxes at the top of the page and hitting one of the buttons to sort the information however you chooose.
  • You can get further information for a particular member by clicking on the CKAP# link in that table and in the next page which opens.

Please let me ( celia@drmath.ca ) know if you notice any errors in the distances reported.

Meanwhile, I am in the process of databasing virtually everything that is on the site. This will make it much easier to manage the CKAP web site in the future and to keep your totals accurate. Until the databasing is complete, some of the older manually maintained pages may contain old information.

James D. Wilson
CKAP Coordinator

After 15 years plus it’s time for “Sir” James to take a well deserved rest and allow new younger board members to take over control of CKAP. I do this reluctantly as it has become a habit to live in my basement office during the winter.

Paul Dicks # 1206 from Mississauga , Ontario will become the new CKAP Coordinator and starting with your 2009 logs, all logs and mail should be sent to Paul. I will be there to help Paul if needed during this first year, longer if required but hope that Paul will be on his own starting with the year 2010 Celia McInnis # 1159 from Ottawa , Ontario will become CKAP’s new webmaster. Celia McInnis will be improving the web page and taking it to the next level by adding a database which will replace the yearly list of current members by km. With a database and Celia’s skills, members will be able to add their own km directly to the CKAP web page and a yearly history of each member will become available to each member. This work is far beyond my ability but Celia has been doing this for years by keeping data on Ottawa time trials and is very qualified in this field.

“Sir” James will be responsible for ordering all awards and CKAP jerseys as required, printing all certificates, mailing awards, jerseys and hard copy of the CKAP annual report.

I’m sure that we will have a few bumps in the road with these major changes and I ask CKAP members to bear with us till we have it all sorted out. You will now have three qualified members doing the job that “Sir” James did alone and I know CKAP will improve by sharing the work and new ideas.

Please direct your 2009 cycling logs toPaul M. Dicks plus any funds payable to CKAP. Log and brochure addresses will be changed along with the list of CKAP board members on the web.

This would be a good time if you are connected to the internet to change from a hard paper copy of the annual report, to the web version, which is in colour and PDF format. Please contact James if you wish to change.

“Sir” James wishes to thank all CKAP members who have supported me during the 15 years plus that I was involved as your coordinator and hope that you will also support our new directors in the same way. It was a great trip with no complaints along the way
and it’s not over yet,
Cheer:-))) “Sir” James
